Ecobee, has a new light switch with Amazon's Alexa built-in

Ecobee the popular smart thermostat maker is releasing a new light switch. And, like, it's Ecobee 4 Thermostat has Amazon's Alexa built-in. It's one of our favorite third-party Alexa devices. This is no surprise considering that Ecobee, the largest threat to Nest and their line of smart products is pretty much in the bed with Amazon. Ecobee received an investment from the Amazon Alexa Fund during their latest round. Also, Amazon has said they will stop selling Nest products once current stock runs out. This is the latest in the Amazon Vs. Google smart home war. Enough on that...

Ecobee's Switch+

The Ecobee Switch+ or Switch Plus is scheduled for release later month. Pre-orders are open now on Amazon. It Features:

• Amazon's Alexa built-in for news, music, traffic, and more
• Motion Sensors for when you enter and exit a room
• Daylight Sensors to turn on when dark
• Easy installation, for the do-it-yourselfer in about 45 minutes
• Far-field microphone array
• Nightlight for after hours

The Ecobee Swich+ is much like any other smart light switch, you can control it with voice or through the app. But, the new Ecobee Switch+ is also your Alexa command center. You can control it all by its self. Funny, kind of like a dumb light switch but this time you can use your voice. We all know how much we like to talk to our house.
