No need for timers, Alexa can now control your microwave.

GE recently introduced a new countertop microwave that can be controlled via your favorite Alexa device. I think this is one of the best uses of Alexa we’ve seen in the last couple of months. I’m sure most of Alexa’s best friends(yes, that’s you) already use her in the kitchen for timers, recipes, and more. Now, you can use Alexa to set the cook time on your brand new GE microwave.

The new GE microwave also has some other pretty neat features like ‘Scan-to-Cook’ technology. Scan-to-Cook allows to not have to read the instructions on your favorite frozen meals. Simply, open the app and scan the barcode and the microwave will know what power level and how long to cook the Salisbury steak and mashed potatoes.
